What is a Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study and what is the goal?

Forrester Consulting’s Total Economic Impact™ study is intended to capture the full economic opportunity of technology investments. The goal of this study is to provide readers with an objective framework to evaluate the potential financial impact that our product has on their organizations.

Methodology

In order to write this study, Forrester interviewed four key decision-makers from different companies and industries who have direct experience using OneSignal. For the purposes of this study, they aggregated the interviewees' experiences and combined the results into a single composite organization with two million messaging subscribers who have opted in to receive push notifications. This composite organization sends about six million push notifications and in-app messages each week. Using quantitative and qualitative feedback from the interviews, Forrester forecasted costs, expected ROI, and other benefits the composite organization would likely experience over a three-year period. They also adjust for risk in their analysis to avoid overstating potential upsides.
